Improve forms to increase conversion

Objectives

Increase the conversion rate on a job offers platform for the Career Center of the University of Geneva.

When users want to register, they have to fill many mandatory fields. Having long and complex forms is known to be discouraging for users.

Steps

  • Expert evaluation of usability problems
  • Description of usability issues and improvement recommendations
  • Statical wireframes
  • Discussions with the technical team to check the feasibility of the recommendations

Results

Through my expertise of usability standards, I was able to identify many critical issues before the launch of the platform.

Prototype for a shorter form
The first form is short. Then we ask users for more information after they create their account. It is more efficient and increases conversion.
